cladofold. needs macOS Sonoma 14 or later, Metal graphics, and a readable lid-angle sensor for automatic folding.

MacBook Pro
Expected on 14-inch and 16-inch models, including the 2019 Intel 16-inch.
MacBook Air
Expected on M2 and later models, in 13-inch and 15-inch sizes.
Other MacBooks
M1 Air, 13-inch Pro, and most older models can use previews but lack the sensor for automatic folding.

Sensor support varies. Use “Check Mac compatibility…” in the app to check your hardware. This preview has been tested on one MacBook Pro; other models are research-based expectations.

Universal download for Apple silicon and Intel. Screen Recording permission is required for the desktop effect. Frames stay in memory on your Mac.

A QUICK SETUP

One small addition.

macOS 14+ and a readable lid-angle sensor are needed for automatic folding. .

  1. Open the downloaded DMG and drag cladofold. into Applications.
  2. Open the app and allow Screen Recording when prompted.
  3. Choose “Open in System Settings” to adjust the blur, dark borders, and lid response.

This is an unnotarized preview. macOS may require the app-specific “Open Anyway” step in Privacy & Security. Only continue if you trust this download.
