privacy

cladofold. is designed to keep the fold effect and its data on your Mac.

The website

cladofold. does not set its own cookies or use analytics, advertising trackers, accounts, or a form backend. The site is hosted by GitHub Pages, which logs visitors’ IP addresses for security. GitHub handles that information under its privacy statement.

The app

Screen Recording permission lets the app capture one temporary desktop frame when a fold begins and a small transient frame when checking permission. Frames stay in memory on the Mac, are never uploaded or saved, and are discarded when the effect clears. Preferences stay on the Mac. The app has no account, advertising, or analytics. Version 1.4.0 and later check cladofold.app for signed updates and download updates from GitHub. These requests expose standard connection information, such as your IP address and app version, to the hosting services. Screen frames and saved preferences are never included, and optional system profiling is disabled. You can turn off automatic checking and downloading in the cf. menu.

Support messages

The support form prepares an email in the visitor’s email app. The website does not submit or store the form contents. If the visitor sends the message, their name, email address, message, and standard email metadata pass through their email provider and the mailbox provider for hello@cladoconsult.com. That information is used to answer the request.

External services

Downloads and source links lead to GitHub, and some help links lead to Apple. Those services apply their own privacy terms.
